Here at AC AOV we have worked in many schools, Colleges and Universities providing AOV’s for Fire Safety and Natural Ventilation. Our Contract Managers are aware of the challenges around assessing, installing and commissioning systems in Educational settings and will aim for engineers to be present at a convenient time, in order to limit disruption to staff and students. This will usually be out of term time, at weekends, or early project attendance.
If our personnel do need to be present when the buildings are occupied, all of our Engineers are DBS checked every 6 months and are legally verified to work in settings where children may be present.
Smoke Ventilation for Lobbies and Corridors… How it works…
In the unfortunate event of a fire, your fully compliant AOV system will make sure that heat, smoke and fumes are released from the building allowing occupants to evacuate safely.
Also, as with Medical Settings, it is now widely recognised that well ventilated areas protect against the build up of COVID 19 particles as well as other air borne infectious diseases. This being the case, AOV’s are proving to be essential for automated natural ventilation as well as for fire safety, especially in areas that may be densely occupied such as school, college or university common areas.
